In my humble experience, Dr. Shahid Qureshi has accomplished what is hard to achieve even in the best of circumstances. He played a leading role in the foundation of an entrepreneurial university in Pakistan, GIFT University, located in Gujranwala, Pakistan. He was the co-founder of the IBA CED, the largest and first entrepreneurial center with an incubator in Pakistan. In addition, he has published numerous training manuals to help entrepreneurs in Pakistan and has trained corporate entrepreneurs across the country. He has also contributed significantly to establishing an entrepreneurship center in Srilanka.

I am well-acquainted with his efforts around women entrepreneurs and home-based entrepreneurs. Dr. Qureshi provides the heart and soul of hope in Pakistan to those working to start and grow a business in a low-income country. He has managed to lift many out of poverty through his efforts and positive outlook. His contributions extend to advising the Prime Minister of Pakistan on a taskforce focused on entrepreneurship.

In conclusion, while he has focused on the practice of entrepreneurship and trained hundreds, he has also made substantial contributions to academic knowledge with 30 academic publications and numerous case studies to promote the learning of entrepreneurship.
